About GramsToCups

GramsToCups exists because of one persistent kitchen problem: recipes cross the Atlantic, and units don't. European recipes weigh in grams; American recipes measure in cups; and the bridge between them — a single "grams to cups" number — doesn't exist, because a cup of flour (120 g) and a cup of honey (340 g) are different amounts of food.

So this converter is organised by ingredient first. Every conversion uses standard published weights for one US cup (240 ml), spooned and levelled unless a note says packed or sifted, and shows the answer three ways: decimal cups, the nearest kitchen fraction, and tablespoons/teaspoons for small amounts. The reverse direction — cups to grams — is there for when you're weighing a cup-written recipe.

The site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored. GramsToCups is built and maintained by Jimmy at ORBITFRAME, alongside a small family of free calculators linked in the footer.
